20 October 2006 Hardy travel accessories recommended
Travellers planning on doing more on their trips than heading to the beach, including those with backpacker travel insurance, have been advised on the "essential" travel accessories they need for their breaks.
Spec-Ops Brand, a manufacturer of hard-wearing nylon equipment has suggested three items travellers cannot go without, an organiser pouch, travel wallet, and airport friendly belt.
The Mini Cargo Pocket Organiser can hold keys and mp3 players, while the company's T.H.E. Wallet can hold a passport, gap year travel insurance details and other important documents and the Better BDU Belt NS is durable and metal-free as to not set off airport metal detectors.
Jeff Wemmer, founder and chief executive officer of Spec-Ops Brand, said: "We make all Spec-Ops Brand gear to withstand the toughest of battle conditions, so we're certain these travel accessories will survive pretty much anything the road warrior can throw at them."
Earlier this month, AXA Insurance reported that Britons spend £1.6 billion on holiday equipment every year, while spending £4.2 billion on travel insurance, some of which will be used to protect these purchases.
