26 October 2006 Exodus on foot
UK adventure travel company Exodus has announced its new brochure for Exodus Walking and Trekking trips, which may attract travellers with backpacker travel insurance.
The brochure includes over 160 destinations across the world, encompassing trips to 54 different countries.
In addition to its standard large group tours, the company has added ten independent trips to its brochure aimed at pairs and smaller groups of family and friends to take advantage of the trips.
These trips for couples and families include the 24-day trek of the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal and 12-day break to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
Rob Dixon, Exodus Walking and Trekking programme manager, said: "To gain a true insight and to fully appreciate local customs and cultures of countries, you really need to be able to immerse yourself into community life of the places visited, which is what Exodus Walking and Trekking trips do so well.
He added that the company had introduced more itineraries and destinations, with five grades of difficulty to suit all trekkers.
Travellers were recently advised by American Express Travel Insurance to check the terms and conditions of their cover, such as backpacker travel insurance, to ensure they are covered for their adventure activities abroad.
